The service

Domain Gambit lets you look up a domain name to see whether it appears available and, if it is registered, to inspect public WHOIS data, DNS records, SSL certificate details, and a domain rating. Domain monitoring and alerts are not available yet.

We may change, suspend, or stop any part of the service at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service in a way that overloads, disrupts, or interferes with it or with third-party systems we query
• Scrape, crawl, or automate lookups beyond ordinary interactive use
• Use lookup results to harass anyone, break the law, or infringe someone else's rights
• Attempt to access systems, data, or accounts that are not yours

Domain data

Lookup results come from third parties, including domain registries and registrars, public DNS resolvers, the servers that host a name, and Ahrefs for domain rating. That information can be incomplete, delayed, redacted, or wrong.

A result that a name is available is not a promise that you can register it, that it will stay available, or that you have any right to it. We do not sell, escrow, or register domains for you.

Intellectual property

Domain Gambit and its design, text, and marks belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them except as needed to use the service. Lookup results remain subject to the rights and policies of the sources that provide them.

No warranty

The service is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, or that any lookup result is accurate or complete. You are responsible for how you use the information.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Domain Gambit and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service or reliance on lookup results. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the three months before the claim, which is currently zero.

Changes

We may update these terms. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
